What Are the Benefits of 3D Imaging in Dentistry?

Although this 3D imaging isn’t required for every patient, it’s extremely useful for very precise treatments such as restorative dental implants, root canals, planning tooth extractions, and TMJ. It is also able to detect problems like jaw tumors or sinus issues.

The introduction of this dental technology will allow Dr. Reyes and the team to streamline our diagnoses and optimize our patients’ treatment plans to make your experience as smooth as possible and ensure long-term success for restorative dental issues including dental implants.

Are 3D Dental Scans Safe?

As with regular 2D X-Rays, the clinical benefits of having a comprehensive insight into the mouth and jaw that can’t be seen during a dental exam outweigh any small radiation risk. However, we are very careful in deciding which patients benefit most from this technology to minimize any specific risk factors.
